Image Capture guidelines
Here are some guidelines we recommend users follow to ensure a successful verification.
Ensure proper lighting when capturing images. Make sure subject’s face is seen clearly and light source isn’t behind subject. Natural daylight or well-distributed artificial light helps prevent shadows and ensures the subject is well-lit.
Avoid any manipulation like trying to perform a verification using an image of a subject.
Use a plain, uncluttered background to prevent distractions from the main subject. Ensure that no other faces or people appear in the background.
Make sure subject isn’t wearing any headgear that covers part of the face. It is essential that the whole face is visible. Head scarves worn for religious reason’s must not cover the ears and forehead.
Ensure image taken is in form of a passport picture and that subject’s face sits clearly within the demarcated region.
To achieve maximum accuracy, make sure you are not wearing tinted glasses. Medical glasses should be clear, and subjects should be positioned such that glasses are not reflecting. Adjust lighting angles to prevent unwanted reflections that could obscure details.
